In 2011, a recovering addict, named Rudy C. had a Vision to put on an Area Convention for the Rappahannock Area of Narcotics Anonymous.
After years of consulting other experienced members in different states, areas, and regions, he finally presented the Vision to Mark T.
In 2016, Mark T. and Rudy C. presented the idea to the Rappahannock ASC. The ASC created an ad hoc convention committee and financially supported them with $200.
Rudy C. and Mark T. was supported by Mike S., Kemper B., Tressie B., Julie C., Randall D., Derek V., Billy M., Sarah J., Jerine M., Dawn B., and Corey C.
In May 2017, the first RACNA I convention was held at the Hospitality House. In 2018, the RACC (Rappahannock Area of Convention Committee) voted to become on the ASC body.
The purpose of this Convention Committee and that addict was to carry the message of Narcotics Anonymous: “that an addict, any addict, can stop using drugs, lose the desire to use, and find a way to live” and to express their Love to this Area.
